ELECTROMAGNETIC METHODS

Soil prospection electromagnetic techniques are based on the measurement and analysis of the electromagnetic fields behavior induced in the field through a current impulse of certain intensity.
The prospection equipment is made up by a current transistor with its own power source, a transmitting coil, the recipient of the induced fields and an obtained results digital log, which allows its study and analysis.
In accordance with the domain that you are working with, two technique groups can be distinguished in the time domain (TDEM) and the frequency one (FDEM).
One of these types of methods variant is the study with the magnetic telluric of controlled source audio (CSAMT.)
This method lets you assign an excellent resolution (vertical and lateral) to apparent resistivity on soil (impedance.) The penetration depth of electromagnetic effect can reach, on great soil/noise conditions, up to 2000 m of investigation.
